Nova Classical Academy relies on our community of parents, grandparents, friends, and neighbors to enhance our efforts and each student’s educational experience through volunteerism. Thank you for your vital contribution to Nova!

Every school year, each Nova family is encouraged to volunteer 20 hours for the school. If you have questions about volunteering, please contact Ms. Gabor at vgabor@novaclassical.org . Thank you!

Student Volunteering:

If you have questions about the community service requirement for graduation, please contact Ms. Voelker.

Each year, 4th and 5th graders have the opportunity to be helpers in various ways, contributing to the greater good of the Lower School.

Junior Coaches: A group of 4th and 5th grade students that served as Junior Coaches, assisting the recess staff during their assigned recess shifts. They organize games with younger students and make sure everyone was following the recess safety rules.

Student Proxeny Officers: With the support of Ms. Lozano, we had 9 fabulous scholars serve as Student Proxeny Officers. This group led 3 different service projects this year, promoting and collecting change for Dimes for Disasters, supporting animals displaced during the Maui wildfires, supplies to help our homeless population, and over 1,000 cards to brighten the days of Sholom Home residents.

Morning Announcements: Morning Announcers help prepare their assigned day’s announcements and show up every morning enthusiastically to deliver the important information for the day.

Kindergarten Lunch Helpers: We have many 5th graders assist with kindergarten lunch. They help serve food, open containers, and positive interact with our youngest scholars.

Bus Buddies: Bus buddies were incredibly helpful this year – making sure that our kindergarten friends made it safely to their buses. Please stand if you were a Bus Buddy!

Math, Reading, Spelling, and Organization Buddies: These buddies assisting students and teachers in various areas.

Contact Ms. Tousignant for more information about these leadership opportunities for our 4th and 5th graders
